I'm a Senior in High School and Prom is right around the corner. I'm not going to Prom for 3 reasons:
1. I went to my boyfriends Senior Prom last year.
2. I deeply despise 97% of my Graduating Class.
3. I'm saving loads of money & going down the shore anyway.
Now, I can't say I was formally asked to Prom, because I wasn't. It all went down on Xbox Live. I've known this friend of mine for 5 months or so & he asks me "Hey Poof, who are you going to prom with?" I said "No one. I'm not going to Prom. I'm driving down the shore that night." He then said "Awww damn. Alright." Five minutes later he said "I had such a bad day." I asked why & he answered "My original Prom Date can't go with me & I have no one to go with." Saying that made me think he was going to ask me if I said "Oh I don't have a date yet." I feel bad for saying I'm driving down the shore that night, because i'm really not. So what I want to know is, can anyone give me a couple of tips & pointers on how to let down a person asking you to prom? I don't want to be mean about it or anything. I kind of want to let anyone (If i get asked again) down easily. Thanksss
